Who owns it?


    A young Chinese is seen by the Chinese Government to possess great ability in the area of science.  
    The Chinese Government wants to capitalize on his potential so decides to send him to the United
    States to attend the United States finest public high school.  

    Upon high school completion the young man receives a scholarship to attend a State University in
    the United States.

    He graduates with honors and decides to continue on with graduate school at the University.  A
    major U.S. corporation hires him on to do research for them while he is still in graduate school.

    While working with a professor, at the state University, who was awarded a federal  U.S. grant for
    research, the young Chinese discovers a cure for a major disease that has the potential to save
    millions world wide!

    Who owns this knowledge and should have control over who receives the benefit from it?

    A)        The Chinese Government
    B)        The young man
    C)        The University he did the research in
    D)        The Professor who was in charge of the research
    E)        The U.S. Government who funded the research
    F)        The Corporation he was working for
    G)        The state that paid for his education
    H)        Insurance companies of those that can benefit from the knowledge
    I)          All of mankind

    Who should be able to benefit from this knowledge?
