A Simple Solution to "Take Back America" Several years ago I was introduced to a book called “Obvious Adams”. I loved the book not only because it was small and even a slow reader could read it in less than an hour, but because of the simple lesson I learned from it; Even the most complex issues have a simple and obvious solution. A simple and obvious solution came to me as I was lying in bed this morning. The way to return America to the people is really pretty simple. The American people must take back control of the political process; district by district. Not only is the answer to the problem pretty simple the process of which this can be done is very simple as well. Refuse to vote for anyone (I mean anyone) that takes any special interest money of any kind from outside the jurisdiction they are running in. Refuse to vote for anyone taking money from a state or national party. Refuse to vote for anyone that has anyone campaigning for them that do not live in the jurisdiction they are running in. This would make the elected officials represent the people of the jurisdiction. Isn’t that the way it is suppose to be? This would also put the belief back in numerous apathetic Americans who now feel they cannot make a difference. This is not only backed by the Constitution, but is exactly what the founding fathers intended. The American people have relinquished rights by voting for people that have been bought by parties and special interests making the elected officials represent their parties and special interest groups rather than the people of the jurisdiction they ran in. The Politicians did not steal the right of representation from the American people. We gave it to them by voting for them even though they were not representing us. The way we change that is to not vote for anyone influenced by anything or anyone outside the jurisdiction they are running in. It really is that simple. It is up to us! Form groups in your area stating that you will not vote for people that do not intend to represent you and they cannot represent you if they have taken monies from outside the area from parties or any type of special interest. Even an admiring uncle from outside the area! There is no reason to have any national committee, since every area only needs to come up with its own requirements beyond not allowing the special interest monies. Our politicians will be forced to return to communicating with the people they are suppose to represent. If they don’t, they will not be able to win election. People will feel empowered and much of the apathy killing us will disappear. “Average” citizens without a political machine behind them would once again have a chance to win election to represent the people. We do not need a law passed. We do not want a law passed to restrain special interest contributions. All we need to do is exercise our right and use the power of the ballot to make this happen. It really is that simple! And best of all, using this solution would enable “We the People” in 2010 to make tremendous inroads in taking back America!!! Spread the Word!
