Jim Zajicek, Educator

In the interview below Jim talks about his years of service
to students at Cresco Notre Dame, Crestwood, and Trinity
Schools and what the future may hold in education.

with his wife Pat pictured in the center with the entire family including
6 children with their spouses and 4 grand children.

Jim and Pat have been married for over 40 years and have resided the
entire time in the Protivin area.

Jim Zajicek

received the highest award given by the
Iowa High School Athletic Union to School
Administrators at the State Basketball
Tournament in 2012.

Following graduation from Loras College
in 1971, Jim began his teaching/coaching
career that fall at Cresco Notre Dame.  He
also served there as Dean before moving
on to Crestwood, where be became
Principal in the 1990s until retirement
from the school in 2011.

Jim now serves as Principal at Trinity
School in Protivin.  He was an original
student in the very building where Trinity
is located when it opened as Holy Trinity
in 1955.

He was a 1967 graduate of Rudolphinum
High School in Protivin.
Bill Prochaska

















scored 2,124 points during his 4 year varsity basketball career at
Rudolphinum High School in Protivin.
He broke the state scoring  record in 1955 with no fanfare.

2011.  They spoke Czech (Bohemian) in
their home growing up on a 120 Acre Farm
just North of Protivin with their
